DORDA has advised the French investment firm Andera Partners, a leading European private equity investor, on the Austrian aspects of a mezzanine investment by its Andera Acto V fund in the exceet Card Group. The exceet Card Group is a leading provider of secure card solutions and digital identity products, headquartered in Kematen, Tyrol, Austria, with branches in Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Switzerland.
The transaction was structured as a mezzanine financing, a hybrid form of capital combining elements of debt and equity and providing the exceet Card Group with additional financial flexibility. The investment marks a significant milestone for Andera Partners and is the second transaction in the German-speaking region (DACH).. It also aligns with Andera Partners’ broader investment strategy of supporting innovative companies beyond France and across Europe.
The DORDA team of experts, consisting of partners Bernhard Rieder and Lukas Herrmann, supported by attorney Denise Runceanu and associate Nicole Scharl, advised Andera Partners on aspects of the transaction relevant to Austria and worked with the international team at Hogan Lovells led by Christoph Naumann, which provided Andera Partners with comprehensive legal support as lead counsel in all aspects of the transaction.
