Katharina Binder

Katharina Binder has been with DORDA since 2014 and has headed the Private Wealth Practice Group since 2025. She is an expert in inheritance and succession law, private foundations, family businesses, and cross-border estate planning. She advises entrepreneurs, families, and high-net-worth individuals on succession, wealth structuring, governance models, and international aspects of inheritance and marital property law. Katharina is recommended by The Legal 500, ITRWorld Tax Edition and Chambers High Net Worth and received the Women in Business Law Award in Private Wealth in 2024.

She earned an LL.M. (cum laude) from Fordham University in New York and was admitted to the New York Bar in 2012. After returning to Austria, she gained experience at a leading Viennese business law firm before rejoining DORDA in 2014.

Together with Kathrein Privatbank and KPMG, she co-founded the Salongespräche der Familienunternehmerinnen, an exclusive network for female family business leaders. She also serves on the Supervisory Board of Jane Goodall Austria and regularly speaks on cross-border estate and business succession planning.
